Today is Easter. I like Easter and Christmas a lot. Both are times of great rejoicing if you are a Christian. We decided to go to the 7am mass in hopes of avoiding the crowds. As you probably know, Easter and Christmas brings out a lot of people who don't find their way into the church more than twice a year. I feel it is always good to see a large crowd in the sanctuary, regardless of the situation. We were not able to get our usual seats, but we got some close. Next week, we season ticket holders will be returned to our seats.
This is our photo from this morning. I experimented a little with the auto feature in the G15. I was curious what type of result I would get. I opened up the flash in case the auto feature wanted to use it. I took two shots of the same scene. In one case it used the flash and in another case it didn't. Interesting. In other cases when using aperture priority, I have noticed that subtle differences in framing will make the camera do wildly different things. This is not a common occurrence, but it does happen. I have found the best thing to do is go to manual and take control of the situation.
