Medieval Pit Prison

Hailes Castle

Another sunny day and a 30 mile bike ride, and a stop for lunch at Hailes castle which dates from the 13th century (the castle, not my lunch).
I don't fancy the pit prison but the brewhouse has an appeal.

And last year the redcoats were out.
