Dalea formosa
Walking around my property, I have spotted many of these beautiful bushes and had to look it up
to discover it is a Feather Dalea, aka Indigo bush, pea bush, feather plume.
These are in the pea family and grow to 16". They bloom from March to June on rocky hillsides,
mountains and dry plains. I live on a very rocky hillside!
This is a bush with many branches, browsed by deer and pollinated by bees. There are thirty-six species of Dalea in Arizona.
