Here we go again

This Blue Coat at SAP Center at San Jose tried to refuse my entry to the San Jose Sharks game because my camera is "Professional Looking". I told him my lens is less than six inches long. I asked him to call over my pal Ed http://www.pbase.com/elliot/image/154933690) to correct his misinterpretation of SAP Centers camera rule.

According to SAP Center's Arena FAQs for Shark games "Still cameras (film or digital) are permitted for Sharks games and other professional or amateur sporting events, as long as the lens does not exceed six inches in length."

SAP Center's Arena FAQs for concerts states "The use of still cameras (film or digital) for concerts, cameras that are considered professional in nature or have a detachable lens are prohibited."

Here is the sign on the doors at SAP Center. http://www.pbase.com/elliot/image/55326236

Mark, I did get entry. I was within the rules. He did not know the rules for ice hockey games. He just recited the rules for concerts. I do not use extenders very often. I use the Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 L II lens for hockey games as it is very sharp and is only 5 1/2 inches long.

Elliot, Did you then get entry? If so and you had your 24-105, couldn't you then attach a 2X entender at that point?
