On our way back to Virginia, we stopped and did a two hour, four mile driving tour loop at Savannah National Wildlife Refuge.
This 9000+ acre refuge sets between Georgia snd South Carolina and is one interesting place.
Actually, it's an old rice plantation converted back to a park. First impression was 'wood rat'.
I'm going with two comments from fellow outdoors friends (Robert Becker and Jan Luit) and I'm calling this a common rat.
