We got this piece of furniture on January 20th after 2 months of waiting on it to be delivered. Before the sun set that same day we noticed that you sink into the corners of this thing pretty far. Uncomfortably far like "i've fallen and can't get up"... We had family and friends comment as well it just did not "sit" right as they came over and told us without being asked, which is nice to know it's not us but everyone thinking it's uncomfortable. So we went back to the show room and before saying anything to the sales guy, sat in one exactly like ours in a "field test" to again make sure we were not crazy. No sinking, just a nice firm seat.
Our sales guy sent out a "tech" to look at and resolve our problem. Cool, they will fix this thing or replace it as I'd expect nothing less from Laz-Y-Boy and their great customer service. Our tech showed up all friendly and on time and asked to sit down in the furniture in question. He sat for exactly 10 seconds, got up and said, "Just sit more to the center of the cushion and you'll not feel the depression in the corner". Really-are you kidding me Einstein? I then got a lecture on good posture and how sitting correctly will save my back in the future, again reiterating to sit centered on the cushion for maximum support. I was laughing at him thinking he was kidding, which he wasn't. Mr. Furniture Tech was then informed this product was under warranty and needed to be repaired or replaced-his choice but sitting styles are not going to dictate the function of our love seat. As he was leaving telling me he was ordering new cushions he tried to explain the benefits of proper posture in sitting on furniture. I really think this guy secretly wants to be a Chiropractor?
