these Aribalos, from
the Inca Imperial Period 1300 – 1532 A.D., concentrate the essence
of the morphology and design achieved by this Andean culture. They
are containers whose most outstanding characteristics, besides the
form of the body, is the stylized neck, the lateral handles and the acute
slimness of the base.
The biggest one is a piece of immense majesty that symbolizes the
greatness of the Inca nation and confronts the observer with an ordered
cosmological vision and relation with the universe, expressed in the
meticulous decoration. It is likewise possible to appreciate an aryballoid
Inca vessel, dating from the denominated Imperial Period in which the
decoration of the walls is favored with representations of native flora. [sic]
