It was a great day! We went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in the morning then headed to MIT for the festivities. We stopped at the Coop to get some MIT togs for the grandsons (both parents are MIT graduates.) Then we headed to 77 to meet up with graduate school friends who are in town for a memorial service for Professor Waugh, their thesis advisor. We took a short tour of the Institute, passing by the labs where these guys did their thesis work. Next stop was the Muddy Charles Pub where we squandered many a late afternoon drinking beer which was $3 per pitcher at the time. Then it was to Kendall Square for dinner at Legal Seafoods. Most of us had not seen one another for about 40 years. It was a great reunion and we have more activities planned for the weekend.
