Lured out from a sofa slumber by first signs of spring, at lunch time I went out for a rollerski run (rollerskis are sawn-off cross country skis with a small wheel attached at each end). To cut a long story short, I hit a small stone at full speed (I prefer to think that this was the reason and not me just allowing two rollerskis to cross paths) and ended up doing a kinetic face plant on hard dirt. Good thing to wear a helmet and elbow pads... After getting back up on my feet I discovered that my favourite GPS had a major accident. And when I eventually got home after another half an hour's run, I discovered THIS in my pants! (which actually proves the theory that we are wired to function well on adrenaline, even when injured).
And this, dear Dear, is how I ended up with a banged up knee, torn gloves, various scrapes and bruises, and lost satellite reception :)
