The statue is the Jesus of Lisbon, on the south side of the Tejo river in Portugal.
The red bridge is not the iconic Golden Gate but rather, its diminutive cousin,
the 25 of April bridge. At 2300 meters long, it often makes one of the longest traffic jams in Lisbon.
The photo was taken from a window seat on approach to the Lisbon airport. The right side is recommended as it affords fantastic views of the entire central Lisbon.
