This wolf is the alpha female of the Canyon Pack. This is the same wolf that we photographed back on 1/31/2011 near Artist Point! Here we saw her between Norris and Canyon. Other coaches saw the black alpha male (712M), and a gray female that's her daughter today in the same area as well.

Do note the position of her right rear leg. She was definitely limping. Though I talked to a someone who saw her a few days later and she did not report limping at that time so hopefully it is not a major problem.
