At this time of the year, the north of Madeira is often covered in clouds.
If you are at the sea level, this means grey days, often with rain.
If you drive high up, you are above clouds (see previous photo).
Most fascinating is to be at the transition zone - where the wind blows clouds in and out.
One moment you are enveloped in mist, the next it is sunny...
