Callejón de Hamel in Havana (1206179)

Callejón de Hamel is a narrow two-block long alley central Havana that has become a shrine to Afro-Cuban religions through the art created by Salvador González. The buildings are painted with brightly-colored murals and lined with sculptures and other objects, which depict rituals and deities. All religions of African origin are honored. Some people say they practice Santeria, but the people who live there say it is not.
