The Chesapeake and Ohio canal running through the historic centre of Georgetown.
I must admit, I did not know about this canal, or how lovely Georgetown is. Time well spent before heading back to Dulles airport.
This is a town I could live in, with the old brick buildings, lots of restaurants and friendly locals.
You get a sense of how cold the last week has been. The canal and the Potomac river are both completely frozen over.



And last year I was in a canyon.
