While on a ski trip to Sun Peaks, British Columbia,
we spotted a flock of Gray Jays at eye level in the Village.
Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera,
so on an 'off day', I trudged along the highway and found these instead.
I never saw the Gray Jays or anything else again during our trip.
Of course these noisy birds stay very high in coniferous trees.
This bird enjoyed some of the insects inside this pinecone
for a while and then flew off with it.
