It's very difficult to capture how big waves are when you are out on the ocean. I could show pictures of 25-40ft waves and most people would not be able to guess they were anything close to that unless you were actually there. That was not the case with this storm! This is the F/V Arctic Lady which is 122ft long. These waves/swells from crest to trough are well in excess of that!
