This panorama view of Alluvial Fan in Rocky Mountain National Park shows the destruction of the floods in 2013. If you've been here, you will notice that there are no trails paved or not to the falls area. The trails to/from the parking lot are broken cement or totally gone. The WEST parking lot was still inaccessible, as well as road heading west, in 2014 when this photo was taken. The EAST parking lot was accessible, however the normally paved trail to the falls area consisted of broken cement pieces of trail, a lot of sand, and mostly no definitive trail. It was heartbreaking to see, but we know these changes were inevitable. The water will never flow the same way again. It's still a beautiful area, and THANKS to the RMNP staff for clearing/fixing what they could.
