Venezia

A posh variety of potato. But on a cold day, a plate of warm potato with some butter and black pepper is just the thing.

And last year it was something more sugary.

When I saw the title I assumed that you had made it to northern Italia, though of course Venezia is not so much known for its potatoes. Too much water, too little soil.
They look appealing under this light but would be more so had they been not served with pepper but rather mashed and served with a thick, rare, juicy steak with the juices running into the potato to make the perfect combination of flavours.
