Haemorhous cassinii
We have had a large number of Cassin's Finches in Los Alamos County this winter, some seeing flocks up into the 50's.
In their first year, male Cassin's cannot easily be differentiated from females. This individual is interesting
in that it appears to be molting (late February) into male breeding plumage.
