A category 5 cyclone touched land north of here earlier today with winds at 295km an hour. I have friends there and I'm hoping they are okay. It has rained here for hours and though there is no flooding yet as the rain mass from the cyclone moves south we have been told to expect it may occur... sitting tight and see what happens.
