So forlorn looking. Wonderfully done. V

The mono and drifts of snow seem to emphasise the harshness in this.
That may once have been a workplace but does look more like an apartment block. Either way it was a place that was once familiar and a comfort to a large number of people, but all that is being ripped away and only memories remain.

Julie, this is wonderful! Great image of urban decay and fine photojournalism. Big vote.

The combination of the cold and the decay od the building make this a fascinating picture. V
Helen Betts18-Feb-2015 07:17
Excellent clarity and toning in this B&W capture. The decrepit building is jarring amongst the residential buildings and snow. V.

Nicely done in mono. Fine details in the story of urban decay.

Is it being torn down or just sitting there like that?
jhbailey18-Feb-2015 02:17
Nice post processing. Looks very much like a photo taken on film with a red filter. Especially in the sky.

A frozen skeleton... how sad. But this is a wonderfully crisp black and white photo! V
