These spring blooms were a gift from the gorgeous Becky who misses me! I miss her too. She’s on half term this week and is away in sunny climes, the place of my birth actually, and I am in work worrying about best friends. I have a job. A proper job. It means I’m allowed to do grown up things like buying cars and clothes.

Honestly? In a straight up tussle between being in Cyprus and here, I’d still rather be here. I love Cyprus – how could I not? It’s the place of my birth and a beautiful country to boot but I have struggled all my adult life with making sure people understand that I am British and I never want to give anyone any reason to consider me otherwise. I know this sounds a little weird but if it had been you getting a letter from the passport office saying you were not entitled to a British passport, you might feel the same.

On the subject of going abroad, can anyone tell me whether you can use an android tablet on a plane as an ereader if the wi-fi is switched off? Does the rule vary by airline? I just might be going on a flight myself soon...
