Mom gives me a kitty-cat massage while I relax in the sun, but I'm not just being pampered. The massage is intended to stimulate my system so that I don't just sleep all day and get progressively weaker.

I am getting Hill's Prescription Diet A/D canned food to boost my caloric intake. Mom and dad mix it in with the I/D product, otherwise it's a little too much for my system. I get a little bit of food as often as possible. Otherwise I'll sleep all day without eating and that lowers my blood sugar. If I then get an insulin shot, my glucose levels will crash 3-to-4 hours later and I can have a seizure.

So there is a dynamic balance between food intake, glucose levels, and insulin injections. Mom and dad do the best they can.
