Great colourful shot. Richard Bennett, who is probably the best yacht photographer in Australia, says a yacht shot needs to be
good even without the yachts! Worth thinking about. My feeling is there is too much going on here so the eye doesn't
rest but is constantly seeking a focal point. Plus, I feel there's too much water in the foreground and the action is too far away.
The trick is to get in close, focus on one boat and allow the others fall into place around it. I don't think the white
vignetting works; it simply looks like a bad lens. My feeling is that if you want to frame an image,
take it through some trees or something. But good try.
