A winter snow storm can cause many hardships when they come, but if one is safe and warm, they are a great thing to watch as the flakes come down and build up the many layers of white. After the storm is over and you can get out, there is a whole different beauty to examine and explore. One of the best places to explore is a thick woods. The dark and light stand out, the changes in landscape due to what is covered and not, and of course, it is always fun to see how high the snow piles up on the limbs and branches.
