The lagoons,of which there are four, are nestled in a large shingle bank,adjacent to the sea wall,next to the golf course.Around the lagoons are four large groynes(sea fences/barriers) to prevent lateral movement of shingle or sand.These groynes are made from large boulders,placed in lines, and are partially consumed by the shingle bank.
