Wax figure of Jan Hus, a Czech Protestant forerunner, inside the lobby of the Hotel Růže Cesky Krumlov
He holds a Slavic language Bible and a communion chalice.
Hus believed in the authority of the Bible over church leadership and the communion wine should not be withheld from the laity. For his belief, he was executed as a heretic on July 6, 1415. July 6 is now a Czech public holiday in memorial of Hus.
