A little more practice with airplanes today. I have found it very hard to get decent panning shots. Here I am about 45 degrees of the center-line of movement, and the rate of lateral movement isn't too great. When it gets closer to 90 degrees, my panning deficiency becomes very obvious. I practice but try to avoid. I personally like a quartering shot like this better because it gives some perspective and size to the airplane.
