Emirates A380-800 (A380-861 variant) A6-EDA is today flying route UAE415, Sydney to Dubai. She's taxiing right to the end of the main runway for take-off to the north, presumably with a pretty chunky fuel load on board because she has 14 and a quarter hours in the air ahead of her.
(Unbeknown to me at the time that I took this shot, I would be on the same flight in August of the following year en route to Roma, Italia.)
Sadly, this particular A380 is no more. Delivered in July 2008 with the manufacturer's serial number 011, she was withdrawn from service and stored when the pandemic kicked in in March 2020. Planespotters.net reports that she was broken up at Dubai World Central in November 2021.
