Homebush V8 Supercars 2014 Fail

Homebush, NSW, Australia

This is the view from a grandstand.
Wire mesh in front of lens and manual focus used.
Too much depth of field at 200mm f/2.8 to blur the safety wire fence in the foreground. Lens used at f2.8 to blur.
1/3200s f/2.8 at 200.0mm iso100

I know I could have edited out the safety fence but left it in the image to show impact of this style of fencing. Fencing meant only 2 compositions possible without fence in view. I tried many vantage points

I guess only the pro photographers will have decent images of the event.

I have heard that the event is being moved in 2015 to a purpose built race track rather than using a street circuit. Yay !!!

EDIT: 2015 still at Homebush. I did not bother to go but watched it on TV after recording so I could watch uninterrupted from commercials. Saw more of the race. A few events on free to air TV but all events on Pay TV. Sad that sport is being served up this way.

Canon EOS 7D ,Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD

Good job of shooting through a chain link fence. V
