The night before we had (blessedly) had a southerly change come through which took the sting out of the heat but brought with it some fairly drenching rain.

This was clearly more of a desperation shot than I remember it being. Ah yes, I remember why now. First of all I had not gone out to shoot at lunchtime; see also "drenching rain". I worked through lunch instead.

Second, this was the first week of our restructure which sees me now reporting to the head of Finance Systems. Who sprung upon me that very day the fact that every Tuesday afternoon he had a conference with all of his direct reports. In the late afternoon. After the time that I've normally left for my long distance trip home. So when I might have been grabbing a shot at my relative leisure I was instead in a headlong sprint to get a train that might, maybe get me home before 19:00, and therefore had to grab whatever presented itself in the brief gap between the tram and the train.

The result is a shot which is less than inspiring.
