The woodpecker has a piece of dried corn retrieved from the suet feeder.
They don't have the type of beak and tongue capable of splitting the corn to get to the inside.
It lodged the corn in the tree trunk and pecked it open.
Intelligent little survivors they seem to manage well in the bitter cold we get here at times.
