The scaffolding outside our front door in a raging snow storm at lunchtime today. The big cozy duvet is now wrapped around our house, even though the work isn’t finished, the duvet is doing its job quietly and surely. I worked at home today so that I could let in electricians and it didn’t drop below 16⁰C all day. As I type, it’s nearly 20⁰C in our sitting room and that’s as balmy as it is barmy. We still can’t get over the fact that we’ve effectively been wrapped in a blanket nor how much difference it’s already making to our world.
It’s especially comforting because it’s really cold and horrid out there.
