Dymaxion car no. 2
was completed in January 1934. It featured an improved,
and lighter, frame (although the finished car was a little
heavier than car no. 1) and was painted in a single, dark,
shiny (car no. 1 was two tone [white with a dark belly] ),
colour. The car was eventually sold (after the English car
enthusiasts, who had ordered it, reneged on the purchase)
to a group of Bridgeport mechanics (who had helped build it).
"E44 Car No.2, complete. Headlights are recessed in body, providing
“nostrils,” which were intakes for air. Dry ice cooled the incoming air."
