The early morning light was exquisite one day when dad took this photo. The green comforter enhanced the sea green of my eyes. (Okay, he may have given the colors a little boost with Topaz Labs.)

Two days after this photo was taken I went into diabetic shock (low blood sugar). I couldn't stand up and I lost bladder control. It scared the heck out of mom and dad but they brought me back around by rubbing honey on my gums every 15-30 minutes.

After awhile I could eat and they suspended my insulin shots for a few days. This was all part of the learning curve of finding the right insulin dosage for me.
