One of two of the fountains in the Place de Concorde, designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff. The fountains both represent the rivers and the seas. The north fountain to the rivers and this, the south fountain, to the seas, its figures representing the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
