I decided that my big laptop computer needed some healing. One of the hard drives was going duff. I do have a backup computer, however. This little mini is what we take when we fly somewhere. So I pulled it out and decided to see how it works with the full compliment of activities I conduct on the larger laptop. Well, everything works except it is a lot slower. Although a Windows 7 operating system, it is a 32 bit processor which slows things down. Additionally, there is a lot of crap happening in the background which robs the processor of its speed. I should probably start working to fix that except that I don't use the machine all that much. And on trips we only use it for downloading photos, keywording and putting up a pbase thing every day. We also use it for email and surfing, of course. So I am hoping that my other computer is ready tomorrow. In the mean time, I have something to use (slowly) in its place.
