Comet C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy discovered by Australian amateur Terry Lovejoy in 2011. This was taken the evening of January 10, 2015 when it was near it's maximum brightness of 4.32. Because of the cold weather a basic DSLR with telephoto lens was used on a camera tripod (no tracking). Because of the earths movement and light pollution the exposure had to be limited to 3 seconds.
