I decided to have a go at joining the Bay Area Photo Club. I had attended a meeting several months ago to see what it was like. They have program meetings and they have Honors Night. The latter is a judging event that happens every month. I entered that tonight and got a gold and a silver, whatever that means. I have yet to figure out the scoring. A panel of three judges comments on each photo (about two dozen submitted) and assigns a score. I found it interesting to hear the comments. It is good to have third party comments. I think all my stuff is great, of course. Others have a more reserved take on the photos. Here the judges are commenting on one of my photos. This one got a gold
