Kjosfossen is the waterfall highlight stop of the Flam Railway (Flåmsbana) that runs between Flåm; on the Aurlansfjord; and the highland station of Myrdal (where it meets the train from Oslo).
The dancing maidens represent spirits or fairies who haunt the area. A performance greets visitors at every stop here.
