From the lookout, aim of the walk

Tasman Peninsula, Tasmania

From this point it is about 3/4 of an hour down the the bluff and rock itself. The rock shelf continues on the other side of the bluff, out of sight. The surfing was happening at the point itself. Looking closely, you can see the spot at which the wave builds up height and curls. Surfers pick up the wave, just to the left of the bluff. Addition: the news came on January 17, 2017 that there had been a massive rockfall which has changed the point of the bluff. The rock fell onto the place we took photos from, two years earlier. i don't know how the wave and the surfing will alter as a result.
