January 5

Sugar Land, Texas

My latest home project is cleaning out my "camera closet".
This is one of two Petri FT cameras that I bought in the 1970s. I have 6 Petri lenses too.
LOVED my Petris and don't really want to part with them, but I'm running out of space.
I inherited all of my Dad's cameras (8 cameras) when he died in 2013, and I already had a dozen of my own.
Right now, I have all the camera bodies and lenses sitting on our pool table
while I go through boxes of filters, converters, light boxes, flashes etc.
I do have some nice vintage press cameras that I intend to keep.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II
1/30s f/1.8 at 10.4mm iso320 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Sounds like you have quite a collection of cameras, Lynn! A great close up here too.V
I once had a lovely Rollei 35M that I wish I had kept in the 80's it was a smashing camera...

What a great shot. I would hate to part with those. Vintage cameras are beautiful. V

All my Dad's Minolta lenses fit my Sony A700. Even the older ones. AF works too, although light meter isn't always spot on.

You have a difficult job ahead of you! None of us wants to part with our beloved cameras/equipment! V

Petris were fine cameras. I had a rangefinder Petri when I was in the USAF, stationed in California at the time. Unfortunately, it got 'lost' on Manhatten Beach one weekend.

I meant your A700... It would be fun to fit them to the RX100 too :)

I have been enjoying using old manual Olympus lenses on my Sony A7 with a cheap adapter. I expect some of your lenses would work on your Sony too. Focusing is easy with the focus peaking option. There is a lot more character in these old cameras, like vintage cars and steam trains.
