Photographed on my kitchen table where she sits on display.
Light source was ambient "window light" coming in from the sliding patio door behind me.
This lighting was greatly diffused because there is another room (our Solar Room) between that sliding door and the outside. So the kitchen sliding door is actually 12 feet away from outdoors.

Although the background was actually kind of "busy", my camera angles (along with the lighting) produced the nice black background that you see - with absolutely NO post processing magic...

The same is true with all the photos in my "The Story of One Amaryllis" gallery whenever you see a black background.
