We all know the saying: SOLID AS A ROCK, but when in Thingvellir please keep in mind that the rocks there are not all that solid. As you can see in this picture the rock is broken and this is a place where earthquakes can easily move the rocks.

So although danger from moving or falling rocks is very rare in Thingvellir it is adviced to keep caution in mind when traveling there.
