January 2014 - Something Special

I've never been at the Akld Domain when this Pohutukawa tree was in flower
So I was thrilled to see it yesterday.
It's a big tree that has split in two
and has ended up growing 2 different ways along the grass.

1/125s f/8.0 at 24.0mm iso100 full exif

Hi Janice and a Happy New Year to you! Love the Pohutukawa, although I've newer been in NZ at the right time to see them in blossom. Sadly I doubt I would be able to make the long haul flight again for that privilege so I am grateful for your beautiful capture.
