Series of two (2) images:

On our way into a field to photograph a Snowy Owl (next image in this gallery); we almost stepped on a few Snow Buntings. One flew onto a barbed wire fence; and stayed for a number of minutes. I have never been able to get so close to a bunting.

This image has not been cropped. We were able to get close enough to be able to achieve full frame captures.
