Thank you for your comment. Having had a noisy 7D, I'm still a bit leery of higher ISO settings. I have some difficulty hand holding shots of birds in flight, and I do need a faster shutter - and maybe a faster f/2.8 super-telephoto some day.

You will have to increase your I.S.O. and use a much higher shutter speed in order to get sharper pictures. This camera is capable of much better.
