It was a long ride from Playa del Carmen toward Chichen Itza, on a toll road running through
jungle, virtually devoid of any places to stop and eat. Thus we stopped in the only and last town
leading to the old city of Chichen Itza. Good food, albeit this is clearly a mass tourist stop,
a unique combination of services. Posted sign suggest that they take credit card, but in fact
they solicit cash payment, thus keep enough of it, including toll, gas and the entrance to the site.
