Taricha torosa

I saw this cute little newt on our group walk in a county park on a cold, damp and foggy day.
He was NOT holding still, but walking rapidly.
The California Newt, or Orange Bellied Newt, is found only in California
and its skin produces a potent toxin.
The toxin is many times stronger than cyanide, and can kill a human - but only if ingested.
