Snowshoe Hare

Ottawa, Ontario

Saw five of these fellows playing/eating in their usual spot. Some of the group had only seen two; and today, earlier, only 3 had been spotted. I was sitting on the ground shooting away after lunch when I saw a fourth; and shortly thereafter a very small hare arrived making five.
